Good morning friends,
I woke up yesterday morning and the Lord intercepted my prayer time, and He spoke to me about His judgement being poured out on our Nation; like never before, I wailed and pleaded for mercy on behalf of the people and myself, He said to me”you can’t pray it away, you can’t cry it away, Hide underneath the rock that is higher than you” my dear friends, as I read through Hebrews 11, today, chapter 7 struck me, ”
Noah being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. Its time to build an ark around our families and loved ones, like Rehab also did.
And I said to The Lord if there are 5 people here in Nigeria who have stood righteous, would you still destroy your people? And He said;
Chapter 5, Revelation 5.
5:1 Run you back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places of it, if you can find a man, if there are any who does justly, who seeks truth; and I will pardon her.
5:2 though they say, As Yahweh lives; surely they swear falsely.
5:3 O Yahweh, don’t your eyes look on truth? you have stricken them, but they were not grieved; you have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.
5:4 Then I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish; for they don’t know the way of Yahweh, nor the law of their God:
5:5 I will get me to the great men, and will speak to them; for they know the way of Yahweh, and the law of their God. But these with one accord have broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.
5:6 Therefore a lion out of the forest shall kill them, a wolf of the evenings shall destroy them, a leopard shall watch against their cities; everyone who goes out there shall be torn in pieces; because their transgressions are many, and their backsliding is increased.
5:7 How can I pardon you? your children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery, and assembled themselves in troops at the prostitutes’ houses.
5:8 They were as fed horses roaming at large; everyone neighed after his neighbor’s wife.
5:9 Shall I not visit for these things? says Yahweh; and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
5:10 Go up on her walls, and destroy; but don’t make a full end: take away her branches; for they are not Yahweh’s.
5:11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says Yahweh.
5:12 They have denied Yahweh, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come on us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:
5:13 and the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done to them.
5:14 Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of hosts, Because you speak this word,behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
5:15 Behold, I will bring a nation on you from far, house of Israel, says Yahweh: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you don’t, neither understand what they say.
5:16 Their quiver is an open tomb, they are all mighty men.
5:17 They shall eat up your harvest, and your bread, which your sons and your daughters should eat; they shall eat up your flocks and your herds; they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees; they shall beat down your fortified cities, in which you trust, with the sword.
5:18 But even in those days, says Yahweh, I will not make a full end with you.
5:19 It shall happen, when you shall say, Why has Yahweh our God done all these things to us? then shall you say to them, Like as you have forsaken me, and served foreign gods in your land, so shall you serve strangers in a land that is not yours.
5:20 Declare you this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,
5:21 Hear now this, foolish people, and without understanding; who have eyes, and don’t see; who have ears, and don’t hear:
5:22 Don’t you fear me? says Yahweh: won’t you tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it can’t pass it? and though the waves of it toss themselves, yet they can’t prevail; though they roar, yet they can’t pass over it.
5:23 But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and
5:24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear Yahweh our God, who gives
rain, both the former and the latter, in its season; who preserves to us the
appointed weeks of the harvest.
5:25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld
good from you.
5:26 For among my people are found wicked men: they watch, as fowlers lie in wait;
they set a trap, they catch men.
5:27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they
are become great, and grew rich.
5:28 They are grew fat, they shine: yes, they overpass in deeds of wickedness; they
don’t plead the cause, the cause of the fatherless, that they may prosper; and the
right of the needy they don’t judge.
5:29 Shall I not visit for these things? says Yahweh; shall not my soul be avenged
on such a nation as this?
5:30 A wonderful and horrible thing is happen in the land:
5:31 the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and
my people love to have it so: and what will you do in the end of it?
My heart burns within me and without a shadow of doubt, the Lord has started his judgement from His house, churches are being burnt down, maybe when the church is scattered, we’ll spread the gospel truly unto the ends of this nation.
We have sat down for too long a time and we have become a part of the decay, we lost our flavour as the salt of the earth and we have yet no impact in our sphere’s of influence.
Our christianity has long being about ourselves and how we get results through our faith. The church has become an emolument and not a movement, we gather yet every sunday in a building and yet little or no impact devising means and schemes on how our seats can be filled up with people and how we can earn the respect of people by the sizes of our churches, we are far too concerned about the calibre of people on our front rows, but now the church needs to move, to Ojota, to the market places, to the government and desolate places, that righteousness may fill our land. The question is this, if the Lord were to take away all the church buildings and beautiful auditoriums are removed, will the church In Nigeria survive it? Maybe the greed in our hearts will be taken out.
My dear friends, I told a friend yesterday and she later on she said “I know God has heard us, but I know for sure that repentance preceeds forgiveness, A contrite and broken spirit will I not despise says the Lord, God isn’t deaf nor His hand to short to save, but the people are unrepentant. The rest of us who are under the umbrella of grace (b’cos if the Lord counts iniquity, no man will stand, but our standing is
yet of grace) we need to extend God’s mercy which is His grace to other people under this covering, how can they hear where there are no preachers?
The Word of the Lord came to me yet again this morning, please read on;
1 Then Job replied:
2 “Doubtless you are the only people who matter, and wisdom will die with you!
3 But I have a mind as well as you;
I am not inferior to you.
Who does not know all these things?
4 “I have become a laughing stock to my friends, though I called on God and he answered—
a mere laughingstock, though righteous and blameless!
5 Those who are at ease have contempt for misfortune as the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
6 The tents of marauders are undisturbed, and those who provoke God are secure— those God has in his hand.[a]
7 “But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
8 or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish in the sea inform you.
9 Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the LORD has done this?
10 In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.
11 Does not the ear test words
as the tongue tastes food?
12 Is not wisdom found among the aged?
Does not long life bring understanding?
13 “To God belong wisdom and power;
counsel and understanding are his.
14 What he tears down cannot be rebuilt;
those he imprisons cannot be released.
15 If he holds back the waters, there is drought;
if he lets them loose, they devastate the land.
16 To him belong strength and insight;
both deceived and deceiver are his.
17 He leads rulers away stripped
and makes fools of judges.
18 He takes off the shackles put on by kings
and ties a loincloth[b] around their waist.
19 He leads priests away stripped
and overthrows officials long established.
20 He silences the lips of trusted advisers
and takes away the discernment of elders.
21 He pours contempt on nobles
and disarms the mighty.
22 He reveals the deep things of darkness
and brings utter darkness into the light.
23 He makes nations great, and destroys them;
he enlarges nations, and disperses them.
24 He deprives the leaders of the earth of their reason;
he makes them wander in a trackless waste.
25 They grope in darkness with no light;
he makes them stagger like drunkards.
Guys, there’s no better time to cry of repentance, there’s no better time to put the church into perspective. I remember God calling Samuel at the time Eli’s eyes had become dim. The new wine is about to be poured out!
There’s no better time to get on the business of God with godly fear and repentance.
He that has ears, Let him hear what the spirit is saying to the Church.
